Ann has had a long career in the auction world. She has worked for Sotheby’s in the USA, UK and Australia. After twelve years at Sotheby’s London as a specialist in the Chinese department she moved to Australia as a founding member of Sotheby’s Australia, setting up their first premises in Melbourne. As Director of Sotheby’s Australia and Deputy Director of Sotheby’s Asia she oversaw the growth of Sotheby’s auction business in Australia.
Ann is also an approved valuer for the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Programme in the fields of Chinese, Japanese and South East Asian works of art. She has visited China on numerous occasions primarily as a tour leader for Australians Studying Abroad.
